Independent Medical-Legal Evaluation
Independent medical evaluations for personal injury and workers compensation, plus peer and record review, utilization review, and causation analysis. Thorough, credentialed, and defensible, for insurers, review organizations, and counsel alike.
Services
A focused medical-legal practice built around the two categories that carry most of the work, personal injury and workers compensation, with remote review at its core so carriers, review organizations, and counsel get a clear, defensible opinion wherever the case sits.
A rigorous read of the medical record with a clear, well-supported opinion, including PIP review. Conducted remotely, so cases in Texas, California, and Florida move without travel or delay.
A focused read of proposed or ongoing treatment against the record: what the findings support, what has already been tried, and what is reasonable from here. Most often requested in workers compensation.
Objective independent medical evaluations for personal injury and workers compensation claims. In-person examinations where required, with reporting written to hold up to scrutiny.
An evidence-based read on work status: what the findings support doing now, what restrictions apply, and how the record bears on disability questions.
Clear, standards-based impairment assessment following an injury, documented so every party understands how the rating was reached.
A reasoned opinion on whether and how a mechanism of injury accounts for the findings, grounded in the record and the evidence rather than assumption.
Who We Serve
The value of an evaluation is that it holds up. We work for insurers, review organizations, and counsel, and the standard does not change with who is asking.
Thorough, timely reviews and evaluations with clearly supported conclusions, available for ongoing case assignment across peer review, record review, utilization review, and PIP review. The kind of work that resolves a claim on the merits and stands up if it is ever tested.
A credentialed, independent evaluator who reads the full record and gives you an honest, well-reasoned opinion you can build on. Record-based expert opinion work is considered case by case.
About
Dr. Stowe is an independent medical-legal evaluator working in personal injury and workers compensation, serving insurers, third party administrators, review organizations, and counsel. He is a Designated Doctor in Texas and a Qualified Medical Evaluator in California, and his medical-legal work covers independent medical examinations, MMI determinations, AMA Guides impairment ratings, peer and record review, utilization review, and PIP review. He is experienced in assessing injured workers and traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.
He is also the founder of Spine Health and Wellness, a conservative, evidence-based chiropractic and rehabilitation practice across the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, so the treatment histories, imaging, and functional findings he reviews are the ones he works with clinically every week. That vantage point is what lets him say clearly what the record supports and what it does not.
He earned bachelor's degrees in biology and philosophy from Kent State University in 2005 and his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University in 2010, and he serves as adjunct faculty at Texas Woman's University. Earlier in his career he was Director of Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation with Airrosti Rehab Centers in Southlake, Texas, where he received an Award of Excellence two consecutive years. His postgraduate training includes Graston Technique, kinesiology taping, and Carrick Institute neurology, and he is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Florida Chiropractic Association.
Every evaluation is handled personally, from the review of the record through the written report, so the opinion you receive is his own, well reasoned, and ready to stand up if it is tested. Peer review, record review, utilization review, and PIP review are available remotely in all three states.
